Matthew Hartman is the son of Dr. David Hartman, former head of the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP). Matthew graduated medical school from the University of Pittsburgh, completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Emory University, and his fellowship in abdominal imaging at the University of Pittsburgh. He has been working at the Allegheny Health Network ever since in the abdominal imaging division. He has served as the clerkship director and residency director. He has a special interest in introducing residents and medical students to rad path correlation and developed the first of its kind course for medical students which has been replicated at several institutions. He is currently the Vice President of AMSER. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and swimming. He is a nationally ranked masters swimmer in the 50 fly, 100 breast and 400 free.
