Dr. Hoffmann is an Interventional Radiologist at NYU Langone Health. He completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency in 2009 at Winthrop-University Hospital (now NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island), where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed his Interventional Radiology fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and worked as an attending physician at Penn before returning to Long Island in 2011.
Dr. Hoffmann has been instrumental in developing a successful, sustainable, and well-respected interventional oncology program as well as developing several other higher-end IR procedures at the institution, most recently prostatic artery embolization. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Radiology and is the Director of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program and the Director of the Radiology Elective at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, home of the NYU Long Island School of Medicine. A dedicated educator and mentor, he has won the Department of Radiology "Attending of the Year" award two times. His passion for clinical excellence is matched by a commitment to innovation in trainee education and mentorship. Dr. Hoffmann has been elected by his peers to be a representative on numerous committees within the NYU Long Island School of Medicine. He currently serves as the President of School of Medicine's Faculty Council. He is also actively involved in the Society of Interventional Radiology, where he serves on multiple committees. He was awarded fellowship status ("FSIR") by the Society of Interventional Radiology in 2020. In March of 2023, he was selected to become the Society of Interventional Radiology's next Membership Division Councilor on the SIR Steering Council.
